Description

Selling a grouping of original DF Barry Images. Images include General Nelson A. Miles & Native Americans.

1. Native American man wearing vest and scarf, oval portrait in a tri-fold folder.  Hand written on back "Ohiy- Young man- a friend of his horses- Sioux.

2.  Self Portrait of D. F. Barry, rectangular portrait in bifold Folder.  Hand written under portrait "From D. F. Barry" and appears to be a his signature. 

3.  Portrait of General Miles who was a Colonel at the time, rectangular portrait in tri-fold Folder.  Hand written at the bottom is "Gen Miles" and barely visible handwriting on back is D. F. Barry, which appears to be his signature.   

4.  (2) D. F. Barry prints , both rectangular in tri-fold Folder.  Hand written under each picture is "Dead Indians."  Hand written on back is " Dead Indians Sioux."  These are faded. 

5.  Native American man in full headdress, oval portrait in a tri-fold Folder.  Hand written on back is "John Sitting Bulls son- Sitting Bulls son." 

6. Older Native American Man in full headdress, side profile, oval portrait in tri-fold Folder (folder in poor condition).  Hand written on back is "Wild Horse- Crazy Horse cousin."

7. Older magazine article about D. F. Barry with his picture.  This is in 3 pieces. 

8. Bonus, This is a Louis Oliver print, who was a photographer in Providence, RI in the late 1800's.  Portrait of a lady with hand on a book, rectangular picture in a bifold Folder.  No markings.
